New Projects

An important workflow change is about how to add data to your project. The new setup allows to add any supported data source directly from the beginning. Virtual Surveyor will create the terrains when necessary while you can continue to work.

Coordinate Systems

You can set a project coordinate system. All your source data will be reprojected on-the-fly and all your exports will be in the set project coordinate system.

Start from CAD

You can start directly from a CAD file and don't even need drone data to work with Virtual Surveyor. Simply drag&drop any supported datasource in the projectview. You can add CAD, GIS, TXT and even point cloud files.

Point Clouds

We convert .las and .laz point cloud files to an elevation terrain.

Section Lines

Road surveying with drones will become more efficient with the latest productivity tool: section lines. Convert a road center line to a set of section lines at regular distances. With the improved Densify & Edit functions you will be able to drape the section lines on the terrain and edit them to remove surface objects like trees, guard rails, cars, ...

Improved Densify Methods

You can choose between 2 methods: regular and breakpoints. Each method has specific parameters associated. The breakpoints method allows to set an elasticity value to capture the detail at the level you want.

Transparency & NoData

You can set terrains transparent now or even remove a specific NoData color from your image. This allows you to combine your drone data with other datasets like cadastral maps.
